Edward Garcia: Authorities have identified the two victims killed in the massive 12‑car crash in northwest Las Vegas as 20‑year‑old Adilene Rincon and 38‑year‑old Edward Garcia.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified the two people killed in Tuesday’s massive twelve‑vehicle crash at a Las Vegas intersection as Edward Garcia, 38, and Adeline Duran Rincon, 20. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Rincon was a passenger in the vehicle police say caused the collision, a 2011 Infiniti G37 driven by nineteen‑year‑old Jose Gutierrez. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Gutierrez was speeding along Cheyenne Avenue when he slammed into multiple cars that were stopped at a red light at Jones Boulevard.

Garcia was behind the wheel of a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek that became entangled in the wreckage. A 24‑year‑old woman riding in another vehicle suffered life‑threatening injuries and remains hospitalized. Gutierrez himself was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and, as of Wednesday morning, was still receiving continuous care.

Police have booked Gutierrez in absentia on suspicion of four counts of reckless driving causing death or serious injury. Court records show that someone posted his bond on Wednesday. His legal troubles are not new; earlier this year, Gutierrez faced a charge of resisting a public officer. He pleaded no contest, received a suspended jail sentence, and was ordered to attend impulse control counseling and stay out of trouble.

This devastating crash has shaken the Las Vegas community, underscoring the dangers of reckless driving and leaving families mourning lives cut short.:

    David Anthony Carter Obituary_Death

David passed away peacefully early this morning. In his final moments, we were together, listening to Ripple by The Grateful Dead—a setting that was extraordinarily peaceful and beautiful.

His beloved sister, Deborah, shared yesterday that David and I were soulmates. If there is such a thing as a friend soulmate, I believe she is right. My heart is broken, yet I am deeply thankful that David is finally at peace.

A memorial service will be held in the Capital District at a future date, where family and friends will gather to honor his life.

May David rest in eternal peace. He is, without doubt, a guardian angel now.
