The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a single‑vehicle accident in Sissonville as Wylie Wilkinson, age 17, of Newalla, West Virginia. Wilkinson, a student at Sissonville High School, lost his life in the crash that occurred on November 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., in the 7100 block of Rocky Fork Road.
Investigators report that the vehicle initially drifted into the left lane before sharply correcting course. This maneuver caused the car to leave the roadway, descend into a ravine, overturn, and strike a tree. The accident was brought to the attention of Metro Communications through both an Apple crash notification and a call from another driver.
Wilkinson was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office continues to examine the details of the incident as part of its ongoing investigation.
